North-West Premier Womens head coach Hannah Beatson has been offered and accepted a role at Canterbury Cricket, and while congratulations are in order, it does mean that Hannah will be leaving her coaching role at North-West
Beats explained that it was not a decision that she took lightly and felt she that was letting the club down with the timing of the decision, however everyone was very proud to have her move up on her coaching pathway and it is a club job is to develop players, coaches and administrators for the game and to have any one become involved with representative cricket was a terrific result and all credit to hard work Hannah has put in.

At her last training we presented Hannah with a card and a gift basket and while it might be goodbye on Thursday, it’s hello on Friday as 5 of the players are involved in match at The Willows and Beats is looking after one of those sides.
Many of players have been working with Beats for several years through Christchurch Girls High School and other representative teams and the connections will be there over the upcoming summer as our playing strive for representative selection, however there will only ever be one person who was the first head coach of the inaugural North-West Women’s Premier team and that was Hannah Beatson – thank you from all of us.
Nigel Marsh will continue as assistant coach, and therefore we are on the look out for new Head Coach to meet the challenge – if this is you or you know someone please contact Shane Young 021 771 392
