The weather forecast was for cloudy with a chance of drizzle. However the sun decided it should shine on the heats first win of the season. We lost the toss and were put into bat. We made 125 off the bat with Lily, Makayla and Alexia all retiring. First retirement for Makayla who was also top scorer with Lily on 17.
After a quick slather of zinc and a large drink the team were out into the field. There were two beautiful run outs , one great stumping in the 9 wickets that were taken. Special mention for Grace who took out middle stump three times for her 3 wickets.
The girls think it was definitely the zinc that helped them. Two players of day were named. Makayla for her top score and Grace for her 3 wickets. All in all a fantastic all round team effort. Well done girls.
