North West Heat – Yr 7/8 Thursday 11/11

Another good win for the NWWC Heat tonight over the St Albans Angels.  That makes 2 from 2 at Hagley 1; we love it there!  We batted first, making a solid 93/2, playing with the softer Incrediball.  Lily top scored with a lovely innings of 25, containing three fantastic 4s.  Makayla made 13, Grace got 7, and Evie & Mookee both made 5.  When it came our turn to bowl, Mookee made a great start with 2 wickets (one of them a brilliant caught and bowled!) and a run out in her 3 overs.  She certainly deserved the Player of the Day award with a fine all-round performance.  Other highlights in the field included a couple more brilliant catches and a maiden over bowled by Grace.  We restricted St Albans to 69/4, thoroughly deserving the pizzas that were provided as a Show Weekend treat.
