North-West Women’s Cricket (NWWC) is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Premier Women’s Coach for the 2022 – 23 season, including pre-season planning and training. The coaching role could be applied as an individual or with more than one coaching resource working together.
NWWC is a collaboration between Burnside-West Christchurch University Cricket Club and Merivale-Papanui Cricket Club since 2019. Its purpose is to develop and promote girls’ and Women’s cricket.
The 2021/22 season was our second season in club Premier Women’s competition. We have a Social 8s team, two Division 1 teams, an u16 girls side and four junior girls’ teams. We have an exciting player group having 7 players this season play for the Canterbury U19 team in January 2022 and three of those players go on the NZ U19 Women’s cricket camp. This season our first player, Izzy Sharp, stepped on the field for the Magicians and a second player, Nicola Clayton, was 12th player for the Magicians.
