We are re-opening this appointment as Paul Mathews has had to withdraw from the role for health reasons, we wish Paul all the best for his recovery, but understand his decision to advise us that he can’t continue with the role.
NWWC is a collaboration between Burnside-West Christchurch University Cricket Club and Merivale-Papanui Cricket Club. Its purpose is to develop and promote girls’ and Women’s cricket.
The 2021/22 season was our second season in club Premier Women’s competition. We have a Social 8s team, two Division 1 teams, an u16 girls side and four junior girls’ teams. We have an exciting player group having 7 players this season play for the Canterbury U19 team in January 2022 and three of those players go on the NZ U19 Women’s cricket camp. This season our first player, Izzy Sharp, stepped on the field for the Magicians and a second player, Nicola Clayton, was 12th player for the Magicians.
