Sydenham won the toss and put us into bat, It was a slow steady start by our openers due to tight bowling by Sydenham, but eventually we were able get some momentum going. Kelly Hodder scored 50* which included a number of partnerships, the best being 58 runs with Katie Blunsdon. We scored 122/3.
Good bowling and fielding restricted Sydenham to just 40/6 all out in 13.3 overs. The wickets were shared between 4 bowlers, plus 2 run-outs, with no-one conceding more than 10 runs in their spell. Notable fielding effort by one of our new recruits Eloise Borcoski, taking a brilliant one-handed catch just off the ground diving to her right.
