We were up against Pleasant Point this week so off to Ashburton we went. It is awesome to see Pleasant join the competition this year.
We won the toss and elected to bowl and with the weather not looking great we got started. We started off well with 2 quick wickets and Pleasant Point were 2-16. Then a fantastic innings by Hannah Kid who scored 76 off 89 balls saw them reach 120/5 at the end of their 30 overs.
Now the weather really wasn’t playing its part and we only managed to get 1 ball bowled in the second innings before the match was abandoned. This was a real shame as it would have been great to see how the run chase went.
