NWWC Blazers vs Pleasant Point Saturday 9th March

What a great day for cricket it was and we were lucky enough to get to play on the number one pitch at Burnside park with of course the permission from the amazing ground keeper Dave Robertson. The Blazers won the toss and elected to send Pleasant Point into bat.

It was a great start by Pleasant Point and it took 61 runs before the first wicket fell. Hannah Kidd with a great knock of 62 with some great backing up from Alex Gordon 21, Isabella Power 18 and Camryn Linton 28 saw them reach a total of 175 with the loss of 3 wickets at the end of their 30 overs.

So the chase was on, India Buchanan and Anna McLean opened our batting and they managed to get to 21 before India managed to hit it straight to Camryn in the field for the loss of our first wicket. Anna managed to get to 35 before she too was caught by Hannah. Then came Mikayla Nortman and Rebecca Stanley who together with 57 for Mikayla and 55 for Rebecca managed to get us home in the 29th Over.

A big thanks to Jaimee and his team for making the trek up from Pleasant Point and we hope to see you all again next season.
