The club received many high quality nominations for the Cricket Express Aero Cricket Scholarship which is worth $1000.00 of Aero Cricket gear and equipment which was presented at the prizegiving evening.

This year we shared the award between Scarlett Amos and Michaela Yoon.
Scarlett Amos has had an outstanding year scoring plenty of runs in Div1, her performances made sure the Premier team selectors had her in consideration every week, and she made her debut for Premier Women this season. Scarlett is a young player that has improved immensely in her batting which has built on her core strength of left arm swing bowler. Batting was her big improvement area, scoring a maiden 100 along with a 50. Her bowling continues to develop and who can forget her 3overs against OBC where she took 6wickets for 4 runs. Her commitment to training is equal to anyone else in the team and she always trained well.
Michaela Yoon had a really good year and is one of those players that to look out for in the future. Michaela has had a successful season in Div 2 and has performed admirably when making the step up to division 1. We are very grateful that she has offered to play 2 games a Saturday on many occasions playing for both the Blazers and Scorchers. Michaela is a regular attendee at trainings and puts in 100%. She has also been noticed by Canterbury cricket and has had involvement in age group programs.
A big thanks to our partners Cricket Express and Aero Cricket for supporting girls and women’s cricket and our club
