The 2024 / 2025 season prizegiving was held on the 2nd April 2025 at Haere-Roa, University of Canterbury and included all the teams from Div 4 girls to Premier Women including families.
We were fortunate to have some of our Canterbury Cricket Magician players in attendance with Gabby Sullivan speaking about her cricket journey and answering some tricky questions from the room. Gabby was also recently named to play for the Cook Islands Women’s side in an upcoming Kartini Cup held in Bali in April 2025.
After thanking our sponsors, Cricket Express, New World Ilam, Smart Sparks, and Robbies Riccarton we were able to call up a member from each team to tell us about the season and present the team awards starting with Div 4 and Div 3 girls.
This year our Cricket Express / Aero Scholarship went to Lee-Ann Martin who has shown leadership both on and off the field, as well as having a very successful season on the field. Lee-Ann was credited for being a big part of building the culture in our Division 2 side.

A very special award, the Phoebe D’Arcy-Slade Memorial Award was presented by parents Khymne and Jeremy. The inaugural recipient was Tilly Friend in a very emotional presentation.
