North West Womens Cricket Prizegiving 2026

This years venue was back at the University of Canterbury at Haere-roa but in the the larger Ngaio Marsh theatre which Theresa Buller had booked and arranged. Doors opened at 6pm and the event was due to get underway at 6.30pm, however timing could not be better as we managed to watch the end of record breaking Whiteferns who chased down 346 to win the match in the last over by 2 wickets. Amelia Kerr scored a record 179*. (top marks for whoever got that working)

The theatre was almost at capacity and the MC role was shared this year with Theresa Buller taking us through the Junior Girls followed with a short break for food when Meg Moffat took over the microphone after supper break for the youth girls, seniors and club awards. (Thanks Meg!). Addi Stackhouse updated the slideshow presentation and with Theresa Buller after a few edits and we were underway. Thomas Bird took the photos
