The Indoor Cricket senior provincial tournament was recently held at our local Action Indoor Sports Hornby, which will be the last time it is hosted at the Buchanan’s Road location before the building is redeveloped.
Indoor Cricket Canterbury was represented by a women’s side and a 22 and under women’s team. Both teams have players, coaches and managers who play at North West Women’s Cricket including Darron Stackhouse coaching the Women’s side Addison Stackhouse as captain and Nik Boon assistant coach of U22s with Paige Robertson and Michaela Yoon captaining the sides
The women’s teams were well represented with contracted outdoor players and with plenty of talent on display resulted in very fast paced and exciting matches.
The Canterbury Women’s team had a difficult campaign going into this tournament but were able to make the plate Final but were unable to get the win.
U22 Girls had a couple of injuries in tournament so had to call on extra players over the 3 days, the Girls dug deep and had a heart breaking loss in the Semi-final by 1 run.

At the awards ceremony we had some players who were named in the All Stars team so congratulations to Addison Stackhouse the only Canterbury player named in the Women’s All StarTeam, and to Lee-Ann Martin and Lexie Boon who were named in the U22s All Star team.
